I was young, and they taught me how to dream. I was young,
and they taught me how to study hard. I was young, and they taught me that
education was the only way to achieve my aspirations and goals. My parents have
been telling me these things since I was in elementary school. These were my
constant sources of motivation whenever I accomplished something. These have
always served as a reminder to me whenever I confront a trial. I was young and
already full of ambition.
As I started high school, my dream became apparent to me. I
am aware that I aspire to be a doctor since I have a strong desire to do so.
People at my age are both shocked and perplexed as to why I am so certain of
what path I intend to take at the age of 15. They usually question, "Sure,
kan? Dim kayat sabalin?" but I always respond, "Isu talaga ti kayat
ko pagbalinan."
In the next 15 years, when I'll be 30 years old, I envision
myself as a registered doctor or a registered nurse who is still studying
medicine. At that age, I can see myself gradually establishing my own home and
family. I see a bright future ahead of me. This would not have been achieved
without a tremendous deal of effort and patience. If God allows, I will one day
achieve this and make it a reality. But if God's will is different, I will
follow it and completely trust Him since I know He has a bigger plan than what
I had planned
